I have two sales executives. My friend told me while sipping his glass of "Gold label Johni Walker". One would not go any further if he makes 3000 bucks a month, he is happy with that. But the other one is not like that. If he makes 3000, he will go for 4, and if he reaches there, he'll aim for 5. That's the way I like it. It makes the "move". I need people more like him. What do you think?

We were sitting in a 51st floor bar at a luxurious hotel and looking from a bird's eye view to the shimmering lights of the Middle East Manhatan: Dubai. The bar was full with sound of music and loud giggles and loughs of pretty high class hookers looking for wealthy business men.

I paused for a while and told: my man is your first sales executive. After all, if you have ten villas and houses, you can phisically live in one of them only. As far as I do not enjoy the "Dime" I have, it would be a total waste and even pain to go for a "Quarter". Indeed if I had a secure income to cover some acceptable quality of life for me and my family, I would give up the business I am doing right now.

Would you? He asked with a tone of disbelief in his voice.

Yes I would undoubtedly.

Then what would you do?

I would do something more fruitfull, something more self satisfacory. Like art, or social activity.

Or a humanitarian job? Told the other friend of mine present there.

I don' know, may be. I don't feel fit at this age. I am afraid it sounds a bit shovinstic to say so. But there are a lot of things - besides humanitarian positions - which heals your inner side. Business (in its trading version) is a little (or a lot) dirty. You see and you know in order to make a business "successfull", you should crash and trash so many clear cut principles. May be I sound a little idealistic and somehow un-realistic. I have done my best to get the goals using the merits and credits, not the links and short-cuts. But doing so, if you want to pass some limits, the gains are not worth comparing the costs. After all I beleive in the simple principle that "we work to live" and not " we live to work".

But then there will be no moving ahead. Don't you agree?

Not at all, I said. I have been moving all through my life. There are lots of ways to go. One moves financially. He accumulates hundreds to thousands and thousands to millions and if he enjoys it, good for him, but if he doesn't, then he is only a slave for his inheritors. To me new experiences look very challenging, promissing and full of "moving".

جالب بود که در ارتباط با مطلب فوق امروز در سایت فارسی بی بی سی خواندم که که آقای استيو تبت، از گروه "فقر را به تاريخ تبديل کنيد" به بی بی سی گفته است: "تجارت بزرگترين مساله است، زيرا عميق ترين بی انصافی ها در اين حوزه ديده می شود. تجارت ريشه معضل است."
این سخن را ایشان در اجلاس وزرای دارایی کشورهای گروه هشت (کشورهای ثروتمند جهان) که برای بخشیدن بدهی - غیر قابل دریافت - فقیر ترین کشورهای جهان - که اغلب از قاره ی آفریقا می باشند - بیان کرده اند.
گویا آقایان می خواهند " روغن ریخته را نذر امامزاده کنند"
